LIVING LAUDATO SI’ - Local Practitioner A: Real people, sharing of real stories of how they live Laudato Si’ in their own local context. The Melbourne diocese is alive with examples of the day to day work of the many people and organisations who are living the challenge and call of Laudato Si’ across many Catholic sectors and ministries. Across Catholic sectors of education, health, social services, parish-based ministries, diocesan agencies and many more. This session will be a platform for powerful storytelling. You will hear and see practical witness, which will give you insight into how Pope Francis' vision of Laudato Si’, is practically lived out in our local church and society.

EVENT SPEAKERS

Fr Denis Edwards

Professorial Fellow, Australian Catholic University

Denis Edwards is a professorial fellow at the Australian Catholic University, Adelaide campus. He is a priest of the Catholic Archdiocese of Adelaide, involved in Tranmere parish. He is a member of the national Lutheran-Roman Catholic Dialogue, and the national Australian Anglican-Roman Catholic Commission and involved with the South Australian Council of Churches. Recent books include Ecology at the Heart of Faith, How God Acts: Creation, Redemption and Special Divine Action, Jesus and the Natural World and Partaking of God: Trinity, Evolution and Ecology.
